Been A While

So it has been a while since I posted. I have been having internet issues so have only just been able to get back on. Anyway, I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year. Our's was pretty eventful! Christmas day was great; we had half of the day with hubby's parents and then the other half with my parents. Now the fun started on Boxing day, we were at my parents house, which is about a 30 minute drive from our house. We had a great day there, playing family games, my son playing with his new toys, and my sister and her partner were over as well. But then it started snowing at around 6ish, not too bad. So at around 8:30-9 we left to take my hubby home and for my son and I to go back to my parents to stay over the night. We got onto the busy a52 road near my parents house, and the gearbox on the car broke, and we were in the snow and on a busy road. So we had the fun of having to call the police to come and move us or put out cones so we were more visable. We also had to wait for nearly 3 hours in the freezing cold to be towed. Luckily I had left my son with my sister back at my parents so he wasn't with us to get cold, but my Dad has been struggling for months with his chest and breathing so we were super worried about him. Thankfully we got back to my parents house at just before midnight. My son refused to go to sleep, so he was lying in bed with my sister watching a movie waiting up as he was worried about us.

So we had to get a taxi home from my parents the following afternoon. Not fun in the snow, and cost us a fortune but my son seemed to think it was an adventure. Some kids are strange!
